About us
Our story
Marc-André Jetté, chef-owner of the restaurant Hoogan et Beaufort, is proud to present Édouard & Léo, a neighborhood butcher shop also offering its services online.
For several years, Marc-André has advocated for collaboration in his community and strives to always showcase high-quality local products. The idea of opening a butcher shop that highlights local producers with the best farming practices naturally came to life and aligns with his values.
In a genuine effort to truly help local producers and to honor their work following more difficult times, the Édouard et Léo butcher shop aims to pay tribute to all the farmers who have paved the way for today's artisans.
Our mission
"The Édouard et Léo butcher shop is committed to offering you fine products of exceptional quality, while showcasing the incredible know-how of small local producers. As we are passionate advocates of local cuisine, you will find a wide range of cuts of meat from here, in addition to ready-to-eat products crafted by our artisan cooks."
Since we understand that your time is a valuable resource and that you do not always have the opportunity to visit our branch in Ahuntsic or Hochelaga, we also offer our products online. With an online ordering and delivery service in Montreal, we aim to enable you to always plan your meals easily and quickly, whether for a weeknight dinner or for special occasions.
"To offer an enriching experience with complete simplicity using high-quality local products, that is our mission at Édouard et Léo butcher shop!"
Our values
At the Édouard et Léo butcher shop, respect, high quality, and sustainability are deeply rooted values.
RESPECT
"In all of our interactions, we treat stakeholders with the utmost respect; from producers to our customers, including animals, the environment, and of course, our employees."
EXCEPTIONAL QUALITY
Quality is a priority in everything we do: from selecting and assisting producers to delivering services to customers, as well as enhancing products.
SUSTAINABILITY
"So that all our fellow citizens can benefit from exceptional products for generations to come, so that our partners can live decently from their production, so that our employees can consider spending their careers in a demanding, yet rewarding and caring environment."
Who are Édouard and Léo?
This name is meant to pay tribute to the producers and farmers who shaped rural Quebec. Indeed, Léo is Marc-André's grandfather who worked at the time in the breeding of Charolais Blanc to feed his family, while Édouard is a third-generation farmer and the grandfather of his partner.
