About

Our story

Marc-André Jetté, head-owner of the restaurant Hoogan and Beaufort, is proud to present Édouard & Léo, a neighborhood butcher shop also offering its services online.

For several years, Marc-André has advocated collaboration in his field and strives to always highlight high-quality local products. The idea of opening a butcher shop valuing local producers with the best breeding practices naturally came to life and aligns with his values.

With a desire to truly help local producers and to value their work after more difficult times, the Édouard and Léo butcher shop is meant as a tribute to all the breeders who paved the way for today's artisans.

Our mission

The Édouard and Léo butcher shop is committed to offering you fine products of exceptional quality, while highlighting the incredible know-how of small local producers. As we are strong supporters of local cuisine, you will find a wide range of local meat cuts as well as ready-to-eat products crafted by our artisan cooks.

Since we understand that your time is a precious resource and that you do not always have the possibility to visit our branches in Ahuntsic or Hochelaga, we also offer our products online. With an online ordering and delivery service in Montreal, we want to allow you to always easily and quickly plan your meals, whether for a weekday dinner or for special occasions.

Offering a rewarding experience with simplicity and superior quality local products, that is our mission at the Édouard and Léo butcher shop!

Our values

At the Édouard and Léo butcher shop, respect, high quality, and sustainability are deeply rooted values.

RESPECT
In all our interactions, we treat stakeholders with the utmost respect; from producers to our customers, including animals, the environment, and of course our employees.

EXCEPTIONAL QUALITY
Quality is a priority in everything we do: from selecting and assisting producers to delivering services to customers and enhancing products.

SUSTAINABILITY
So that all our fellow citizens can enjoy exceptional products for generations to come, so that our partners can live decently from their production, so that our employees can consider spending their careers in a demanding but rewarding and caring environment.

Who are Édouard and Léo?

This name is a tribute to the producers and farmers who shaped rural Quebec. Indeed, Léo is Marc-André’s grandfather who worked at the time in Charolais Blanc breeding to feed his family, while Édouard is a third-generation farmer and the grandfather of his partner.
