Description

Stop breaking your head waiting for long hours before your childhood signature dish is ready. Enjoy this old recipe, inspired by that of the Abénaquis who used game fat and maple sap to cook their beans. This recipe has been adopted in Quebec in its two variants: with molasses and maple syrup!

Ingredients:  navy beans, pork, onion, molasses, ketchup, mustard, apple cider vinegar, water, salt, pepper.

Cooking tip

In a small pot, heat water to around 60°. Place the bag of stew directly in the water and reheat for 15 minutes. Do not let the water boil. Once everything is heated, remove the bag from the water and cut it to pour its contents into a serving dish.
